A pioneer in providing services to the insurance market, Delphos is able to meet any demand or activity related to services that can be outsourced by the insurance market, including complete portfolio management, especially those related to the fields of Home, Life and Loan Payments. Experienced in creating solutions aimed at improving processes, both developing them tailored for insurers, and creating them to facilitate their own services.
Within this principle, realizing the market’s tendency to seek a breakthrough in technology aimed at optimizing the levels of service agreements (SLA’s), and, at the same time, reducing operating costs – both with the objective of providing excellence in price and in service to its policyholders – the company understood that it could assist insurance clients with the development of a solution to speed up the process of surveying damaged properties in housing, residential and condominium portfolios.
The completion of the development of the solution was scheduled for the second half of that year. However, with the pandemic state decreed and the demand for isolation from the population, what was a trend became a necessity. Especially because, in addition to the desire to reduce deadlines and costs, the need to protect the lives of the engineers who carry out the face-to-face inspections, as well as the policyholders who serve them. Thus, the company worked on accelerating the procedures of its SvrDelphos system (Remote Inspection) in order to respond quickly to the wishes of contractors.
Among the premises taken into account for the development of the SvrDelphos, a set of procedures was considered that integrate the furniture inspection process, which consumes, on average, five) working days for the teams. Although the period does not seem long, from the notice to the contracting of the repair, for the insured person who has damaged his property, this time interval is very impactful, resulting in frustration and dissatisfaction, especially when it comes to the new generation of insured persons, anxious, connected and demanding. Given this scenario, the developed tool allows calls and inspections to be carried out remotely, eliminating the need for professionals to travel. The result obviously brings gains for all parties involved.
The remote inspection process begins with the telephone contact with the insured person to schedule the joint performance of all the procedures necessary for the inspection to be carried out, with the professional technically subsidizing it with the instructions for using the system, by sending a link. and PIN information that enables the connection.
After the connection, the engineer starts to guide the user on what should be filmed. The engineer himself can start or pause the process of recording the remote survey footage.

Video support

The tool conducts the inspection to be carried out by the insured and has a support solution with integrated video and VoIP. Through their smartphones, the insured, duly guided by the engineer responsible for the inspection, in real time, carry out a video transmission and transfer the photos for the composition and preparing of the Inspection Report. The engineer can save photos of certain locations to enrich the work or compose the inspection report.

In highly complex claims or large losses, it is expected that difficulties will be encountered in preparing budgets, due to the need to measure the affected areas. To mitigate these difficulties, the system provides instructions for the insured to obtain the necessary measures through an APP, using the smartphone’s camera.
The entire process is done without the need to install an app on the insured’s cell phone, simply by accessing the internet link that can be sent by SMS or WhatsApp. After finishing the inspection, the engineer reviews the footage and photos, and develops the survey report. The tool has a geolocation system and, at the end of the inspection, the link to the video is available for consultation by the insurer.
Delphos is already using SvrDelphos in its Insurance BPO business for its customers, but the system can be extended to any company that needs to inspect Real Estate, whether for preparing reports for claims regulation, or for assessment aiming at measuring changes in equity, or even for risk analysis aimed at financing the primary and secondary Real State market.
