In addition to taking care of a significant part of the Brazilian population, our sector creates millions of jobs, being directly impacted by the ups and downs of the economy and the outcome of companies in different sectors. Looking towards the next three years, it is clear that these factors will vary according to the emergence of new Covid-19 variants, global policies to fight the pandemic and the development of new drugs.
In the national landscape, it will be an election year, and projections for inflation growth remain strong. But looking at what we’ve done in private health insurance over the past two years, the outlook is optimistic. The number of beneficiaries grew once more, providers have adapted swiftly to the pandemic, public-private initiatives emerged and new forms of service are here to stay.
As a representative entity of private health plans, our mission is to ensure that access to quality healthcare reaches more and more Brazilians. With this in mind, the proximity and clarity of public authorities, the strengthening of governmental relations, and the promotion of the sector’s demands in the most diverse official instances are important paths, in addition to the articulation of our sector with other health entities. I will respond to this challenge with great professional and personal commitment.
