The National Confederation of Insurers (CNseg) announces the initiative “Proposals of the Brazilian Insurance Sector to the Presidential Candidates – 2018.” M\u00e1rcio Coriolano president of the entity, Alexandre Leal, technical director, Edson Franco, president of FenaPrevi, Solange Beatriz Mendes, president of Fenasa\u00fade and Carlos Alberto dos Santos Correa, representative of Marcos Renato Coltri da Fenacap, presented the demands, spoke about the importance and participation of industry in the economy of the country.
\nThe insurance sector has R $ 1.2 trillion in assets to guarantee the assumed risks, equivalent to 25% of the Brazilian public debt, an amount that positions it among the country’s major institutional investors. With revenues that already represent 6.5% of the Brazilian GDP, the sector has the potential to grow even more. “We are in 46th place in the world ranking in per capita consumption, in disagreement with the country’s economy, the ninth largest in the world,” analyzed the president of CNseg, M\u00e1rcio Coriolano.
