The Personal Insurance sector has been growing steadily thanks to men who work hard to protect life leaving the field of collective indifference. This exhaustive work in the past has now borne fruit in the present, enhanced by the pandemic of the new coronavirus.
\nOne of those responsible for this progress is the former president of the S\u00e3o Paulo Association of Insurance Technicians (APTS), Osmar Bertacini, who unfortunately passed away in January 2019. At the time, he would complete 57 years of experience in what he liked most to do: protect people.
\nPrecisely on June,7 1962 an audacious young man from small Palestine town, 70 kilometers from S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 do Rio Preto (SP), was testing his skills by joining the renowned Companhia Internacional de Seguros. In fact, his only record in your professional card. He worked first as an archivist in the Group Life Insurance section. With extreme dedication, three years later he was transferred to the Personal Accident section to work as an accounter. \nIn the professional sphere, leaving his mark wherever he went: at Internacional (deputy chief, chief, assistant manager, manager and superintendent of benefits), partner at Libra Clube (shared responsibility with the former president of Sincor-SP, Jo\u00e3o Leopoldo Bracco de Lima), until setting up his company, Humana Seguros, in 1991.
\nOsmar collected friends and admirers. \u201cHis teachings, his joy, his strength and will leave us a legacy of faith and love\u201d, emphasizes the long-term companion, a colleague at Companhia Internacional de Seguros, the insurance broker Adevaldo Calegari. Associative life<\/p>\n
\u201cFor those who don’t know me, my name is Osmar Bertacini\u201d. With this phrase filled with very good humor – because that was one of main characteristics – the \u201cliving legend\u201d made its statement at events promoted by entities in the segment. Perhaps he was the most striking character in his forays into associative and also academic life. Beginning at the then Funenseg (today School of Business and Insurance – ENS), he taught for more than three decades, starting in 1984, and many of his students follow a brilliant career in the insurance market.
\nThree years earlier, however, he was one of the founders of Clube Vida em Grupo S\u00e3o Paulo (CVG-SP), on May 25, 1981, of which he held the presidency on two occasions – in the 2009\/2010 and 2011\/2012 bienniums. In his tenure, he contributed to the expansion of the life business in the country. \u201cWhen I started in Personal Insurance activity, Osmar Bertacini was already a reference in the area. Without a doubt, I consider him the great pope of the sector \u201d, testifies the former president of the entity, Silas Kasahaya.
\nIn fact, Osmar did a lot for the entities: he was also one of the founders and the first president of S\u00e3o Paulo State Advising and Consulting Firms Association (Aconseg-SP), held twice the presidency of the S\u00e3o Paulo Association of Insurance Technicians (APTS) and tirelessly participated in the activities of the S\u00e3o Paulo Insurance Brokers Club (CCS-SP), where he was treasurer in the management of Luis L\u00f3pez V\u00e1zquez and Supervisory Board in Alexandre Camillo management. At the S\u00e3o Paulo State Chamber of Insurance Brokers (Camaracor SP) was Social director during 12 years, from 2007 to 2019. At Sincor-SP, Osmar also left his mark, when he took over the second secretary, between 2014 and 2018, under the management of Alexandre Camillo, and gave lectures in several regional offices of the Union. For those who did not know him, the stories and his life example remain.
