By this and other reasons, Editora Incremento produced the biography \u2026 and for those who don\u2019t know me\u2026 my name is Osmar Bertacini \u2013 the trajectory of an insurance market icon. In 2017, Andr\u00e9 Pena, Insurance Corp magazine\u2019s publisher, received the task, by himself Osmar, to prepare his biography. In that year, he, one of the main specialists in life insurance, would complete 56 years of activity in the segment.<br \/>\nThe project was made possible thanks to the publisher\u2019s credibility, among the sector\u2019s players and executives, that supported this initiative. The first draft was drawn out by journalist M\u00e1rcia Kovacs, through personal interviews, accounts and memorable quotes of his life. There were hours of recordings, listening to details, passages and emotional recollections of this man, unique and dedicated professional.<br \/>\nDue to unexpected passing of Osmar, in January 2019, making all of us \u2018orphans\u2019, the publisher faced some obstacles and challenges to conclude the publication.<br \/>\nIt was known the importance of the fulfillment of his dream: having his biography disclosed in the market. Journalist Carlos Alberto Pacheco, the magazine\u2019s editor, was invited to give continuity to the execution of this deserved homage, performing the due research, content elaboration and final edition of the work.<br \/>\nOsmar was born in 1942, in the small town of Palestina, in the S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 do Rio Preto region, in S\u00e3o Paulo state. He descends from a Family of italian immigrants, native of the Veneto region, that landed the Santos port, in the end of the 19th century. The book have eight chapters, since the saga of the county\u2019s founder, the political and economical outlook of that time, Osmar\u2019s childhood in the Guarda-Mor (currently Jurupeba) district, his first studies, his passion for soccer and a passage through board school.<br \/>\nHis coming to S\u00e3o Paulo searching for an opportunity to study and work, marked the beginning of his trajectory in the Companhia Internacional de Seguros, where did his career for 22 years, being his first and only professional registry, before being a businessman. At the early 1990\u2019s, he received an invitation to teaching in the Life Insurance course of Funenseg, currently Business and Insurance School (ENS), becoming also a business owner, when he founded Humana Seguros.<br \/>\nHis associative life was intense and dynamic: he acted on and led several entities, as president of the S\u00e3o Paulo Group Life Club (CVG-SP), of the S\u00e3o Paulo Insurance Technicians Association (APTS), one of the founders of the S\u00e3o Paulo Insurance Advisory and Consulting Firms Association (Aconseg-SP), member of the Chamber of Insurance Brokers of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo (Camaracor-SP), participated in the creation of the Insurance Brokers Union (UCS), was second secretary of the S\u00e3o Paulo State Insurance Brokers Union (Sincor-SP), and was also part of the Inspection Board of the S\u00e3o Paulo Insurance Brokers Club (CCS-SP).<br \/>\nIn this publication, relatives, friends, collaborators, insurers and market executives make statements about the acquaintanceship with Osmar. An excellent professional, human being, leader, manager and also husband, leaving his wife Regina, his children Rodrigo and Soraia, grandchildren Luigi and Gael and other relatives.
