Since february 19th, the Rio de Janeiro and Esp\u00edrito Santo States Insurance Companies Union (Sindseg \u2013 RJ\/ES) is being conducted by a new leadership. With more than 35 years of experience at the sector, Antonio Carlos de Melo Costa, regional director of HDI Seguros for two decades, was elected in January 10th, replacing Roberto Santos, president of Porto Seguro, who was occupying the office since 2013. His mandate will be of two years (2020-2022).
\nAt HDI, Costa stands out for enabling the opening and expansions of new market for the insurer in many areas of Brazil. The entity\u2019s new chairman had important passages through national and international insurance companies. Graduated in Business Administration by Est\u00e1cio de S\u00e1 University and MBA in Insurance Management by PUC-RJ.<\/p>\n
At the class sphere, he also accumulated some strategic experiences. For three years, he was a director of the North\/Northeast Insurance Companies Union, making possible the opening of new branches in these regions, and vice-president if the Bahia\/Sergipe\/Tocantins Insurance Companies Union. At the Sindseg RJ\/ES itself, he occupied the regional board between 2014 and 2019 and was an inspection councilman.

Established in 1933, this Union has been contributing in a relevant way to the dissemination of the insurance culture by means of several strategical actions, beyond interacting with the State and local authorities, signing partnerships for the sake of the citizen\u2019s wellbeing and the regional progress\u201d, emphasized Costa.
