The third edition of the event was held on April 25, in São Paulo. Organized by Conextech Fintech and idealized by José Prado, it brought together national and international startups who are developing projects for the insurance market, insurance companies and investors to discuss the future of the sector. The meeting showed a mapping of who and how insurtechs startups are innovating. “The main insurtechs event in Latin America, we bring together pioneers, industry innovators, business icons, investors and above all, entrepreneurs who are at the forefront of this global transformation that the market is going through. All these renowned speakers represent a diversity of ideas and have a common goal: to inspire creative solutions to the problems of the market,” says Prado.
The purpose of the meeting is also to promote networking, business effectiveness and new partnerships. Insurers, distributors, brokers, technology companies, regulators and consultants had the opportunity to interact with startups and do business.
This year’s event featured international speakers such as Josep Celaya, responsible for innovation initiatives at Mapfre, Ali Safavi, insurtechs at Plug and Play and cases from international startups such as Bsurance, Austria, Argentina Insurance, Jooycar Chile and Glassbox of Israel.
Debates have addressed the future of insurance and how the market can learn from successful startups. With the participation of Creditas, one of the largest Fintechs in the country, one of the debates reflected on how artificial intelligence will change insurance, technology will influence distribution in the sector and how to generate business from it. The CEO Forum held a debate between Luis Gutiérrez, CEO of BB Mapfre Seguros and Delphine Maisonneuve, CEO of AXA. The executives talked about how the processes of innovation within their companies are and how they see the importance of startups in this way.
